The Yale Club of Boston is the primary organization connecting Yale alumni in eastern Massachusetts. At ten thousand strong, ours is the second-largest community of Yale alumni in the world. Founded in 1866 as the Yale Alumni Association of Boston and its Vicinity, the Yale Club of Boston is also the second-oldest of the regional Yale clubs, edging out Chicago and outpacing the Yale Club of New York City by thirty-one years. Today, we serve the area's Yale community in a host of ways. We introduce the newly-in-Boston to their fellow alumni and the newly-admitted to full-fledged Elis; we sponsor lectures, happy hours, and community service events throughout the year; and we carry the Yale torch for major events like Feb Club, the Yale Day of Service, and - of course - The Game. In all, we strive to be worthy of the words delivered to the club by President Taft: "After the desire to merit the honor of one's family, there is no impulse so restraining and so impelling in the right direction as the desire to stand well first with the classmates you knew at Yale and, second, with Yale alumni.

The Business of Creative Enterprises
Director & Executive-In-Residence
Boston, MA
2015 - 2016
The major in the Business of Creative Enterprises is among the first of its kind in the country. It integrates Emerson’s strong foundation in communication and the arts to help students prepare to be leaders and managers in the creative economy.
The program draws its faculty and courses from Emerson’s departments of Marketing Communication, Visual & Media Arts, Performing Arts, Communication Studies, and Writing, Literature & Publishing. In addition to real-world training in communication and the arts, they will work with industry leaders to develop a unique creative voice and business acumen in a collaborative and supportive environment.
• Developed and launched a $2.6M new program, the Business of Creative Enterprises (BCE) on a shoestring budget. Used design thinking techniques and emerging technology to transform a notebook of ideas into a fully-staffed and fully-functional program that attracted 400+ applicants (44 of whom were accepted) – all within a year.
• As Executive-in-Residence (Professor of Practice), I taught five courses in the marketing department and mentored a dozen students who wanted to create their own majors. Also led the committee that developed the first two courses and collaborated on curricula for other classes.
• Gained buy-in from disparate stakeholders including Board of Overseers, three deans, and six chairs. Facilitated meetings to find common ground, contribute to program’s success and find ways to partner on courses and projects.
• Obtained extensive media coverage including NPR, The Boston Globe, and numerous other media outlets. This was one aspect of a multi-channel marketing campaign planned with Admissions and Marketing that resulted in 400+ applicants.
• Partnered with leaders, businesses and institutions in the innovation community (e.g., MIT, Olin College and Berklee).
